ATHENS — Highlighting Katherine Robertson’s leadership in law enforcement, Limestone County Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin endorsed Robertson for the Republican nominee for Alabama attorney general.

McLaughlin cited Robertson’s record of supporting and providing leadership on the key issues relating to law enforcement and public safety.

Katherine Robertson is my choice for attorney general,” he said. “As sheriff, I need an attorney general who is willing to listen and willing to lead. Katherine has proven time and again that she is unafraid to lead on the issues that matter most to the law enforcement community.

“She is well-prepared to take the reins and I am proud to endorse her as our next AG.”

The Alabama statewide primary election is May 19, 2026.

“I’m grateful to have Sheriff McLaughlin’s endorsement in this race,” Robertson said. “Sheriff McLaughlin is exactly right, as Alabama’s next attorney general, I will always have the back of Alabama’s law enforcement.

“The reason they are supporting me in this race is because they’ve seen my work and they’ve seen my record. They know I’m their girl.”
