Rolling lane closures slated on US 431 for light installation

HUNTSVILLE — Commuters and motorists on U.S. 431 will face traffic delays due to rolling lane closures, Huntsville Utilities announced.

Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations will begin LED streetlight conversion on the highway between Mastin Lake Road and State Line Road. Rolling lane closures will be in place during this project, and the Madison County Sheriff’s Department will assist with traffic control, the utility said.

The closures will last until 2:30 p.m. each day.
Motorists traveling through this area are asked to do so with extreme caution as workers will be present.
If possible, travelers are asked to plan alternate routes to minimize any inconvenience. If alternate routes are not available, be prepared for shifting traffic patterns and possible delays.
