HUNTSVILLE – Signature Aviation, the world’s largest network of private aviation terminals, hosted a ribbon cutting to officially open its Fixed Base Operator (FBO) facility at Huntsville International Airport (HSV).
“Huntsville is a mix of natural beauty, cultural richness, and innovative spirit, making it a dynamic and desirable destination,” said Tony Lefebvre, CEO of Signature Aviation.
“From the awe-inspiring Saturn V rocket at the US Space and Rocket Center to the rich history of downtown Huntsville and many museums, we’re committed to delivering an exceptional experience that reflects the land of innovation and exploration built here over the last century.”
Work on the Huntsville facility began in June of 2023. The 5,000-square-foot renovation and 3,500-square-foot expansion included a redesigned entrance and interiors.
Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle thanked Signature Aviation for their investment in the community.
“Thank you for your investment, for making this a place for people coming in and out of our city, they get a good view of what this city is about,” said Battle.
Madison County Chairman Mac McCutchen remarked on continuing growth in the region.
“This is a partnership and we are welcoming a lot of new faces and travelers to this area, but this is also a part of our growth and our commerce,” said the Chairman.
At the ceremony, Signature Aviation also presented a $5,000 check to Fly Quest, a local non-profit that provides opportunities for young people to learn more about aerospace, and careers in aviation and to experience the joy of flight.
Chief Operating Officer Brad Williams said one of Signature Aviation’s core values was shaping the future which aligns perfectly with the Fly Quest mission.
“It’s amazing what they’ve already accomplished here, including developing the first mobile aerospace classroom,” said Williams. “To commemorate today, we would like to present $5,000 to Fly Quest to continue their mission of inspiring young minds in the community.”
