HUNTSVILLE – A popular local independent bookstore without a storefront will soon be no longer … without a storefront.
Snail on the Wall, the go-to online site for many local readers, is going brick-and-mortar. Landing in Huntsville’s Five Points, the city’s first subdivision, with its eclectic energy seems about right.
The store is not yet ready for walk-in visitors at the location – 816 Wellman Avenue, just east of Thai Garden restaurant near Andrew Jackson Way. However, owner Lady Vowell Smith announced the store’s first event. Snail on the Wall is hosting Book Launch: Sarah Crouch, “Middletide,” at 6 p.m. June 11.
The book, an atmospheric mystery set in Puget Sound, has already been chosen for the Indie Next list and as a Book of the Month selection. Snail on the Wall is co-hosting this event with Rocket City Mom. Crouch will be in conversation with fellow local author Georgina Cross.
Tickets are $27.99 and include a copy of Middletide, which releases that day. Attendees can get a glimpse of the store before it opens. Get tickets HERE.
Snail on the wall invites patrons to help with the launch of the store.
