Strong to severe storms in forecast for Sunday

HUNTSVILLE — Strong to severe storms are predicted today for the North Alabama-Southern Tennessee region.

According to the National Weather Service Huntsville office, two rounds of storms are expected – 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

“The first round moves through from north to south late this morning into the early afternoon,” the NWS said Sunday. “Main concerns are large hail and damaging winds.

“Round 2 is late this evening. Lower chances for severe, but gusty winds and hail are still possible.”
