RUSSELLVILLE — Motorists should expect delays over the next few days on southbound U.S. 43 near Cedar Creek.

Alabama Department of Transportation crews will repair a third section of the deck of the southbound U.S. 43 bridge over Cedar Creek, south of Russellville in Franklin County.

The outside southbound lane of the bridge will be closed, ALDOT said.

Weather permitting, the closure will start about 10 a.m. today and reopen Wednesday afternoon.

Drivers should reduce speed and prepare to merge when approaching the work zone.
