Town Madison scores big with J. Alexander’s

J. Alexander’s officially opened today in Town Madison. Featuring an upscale dining experience, the contemporary American restaurant is known for its wood-fired cuisine and made-from-scratch desserts. At 7,000 square feet, the Madison location has room to seat 280 guests and includes an extensive bar as well as patio seating with a view of Toyota Stadium.

With two locations in Tennessee and now one in Alabama, general manager Un Son Ji refers to the J. Alexander’s brand as a collection, not a chain.

“Each J. Alexanders is different, uniquely its own to reflect the community,” he advised.

While the J. Alexander’s name is recognizable to many, Ji said he is looking forward to a new locality discovering the high-quality dining experience the restaurant is known for.

With a nod to the nearby home of the Rocket City Trash Pandas, Ji stated, “Play by play, bite by bite, J. Alexander’s strives for the highest quality food and service experience.”

Speaking at the ribbon cutting, Madison Mayor Paul Finley emphasized there is so much excitement for the new J. Alexander’s.

He said, “On behalf of the City Council and the city, we thank you for your investment.”

Also speaking at the event, Madison County chairman Dale Strong said this shows what can be done when you’ve got a vision.

“Just a couple years ago this was a corn and cotton field, and it’s just phenomenal to see this now and look out on Toyota Field,” Strong stated.

Strong also said the addition of J. Alexander’s to Town Madison will benefit our school system and tax base.

Madison City councilwoman Connie Spears called the opening of J. Alexanders a welcome asset to the community.

“It’s wonderful to have another upscale restaurant in the city of Madison where we can celebrate the big moments in life or simply enjoy a delicious meal out,” she said.

Spears added she has already booked a reservation for her 33rd wedding anniversary next week.

A quick look over the menu features a wide variety of choices ranging from the Chef’s Special swordfish to the immensely popular steak burger, but Chairman Strong had his own recommendation for the crowd.

“Get the ribeye,” he advised.

J. Alexander’s is located in Town Madison across from Toyota Field at 380 Town Madison Blvd. Reservations can be made at J. Alexander’s Madison.
