UAH announces Executive MBA program for mid- to senior-level managers

HUNTSVILLE — The University of Alabama in Huntsville debuts the cohort-based Executive Master’s degree in its Business Administration program.

Dr. Jason Greene, dean of the College of Business, said the Executive MBA is an accelerated, 16-month, cohort-based program.   

“I’m excited to announce the launch of a brand new program in the college business that will prepare professionals who aspire to lead their organizations at the executive level,” he said. 

The program includes collaboration with peers from diverse industries and is designed specifically for mid- to senior-level managers.

“We will accept our first cohort in August of 2026 and we’re working hard to prepare for that,” said Greene.

The new program joins the highly accredited Professional MBA program. According to UAH, the Professional MBA program is for those who are ready to advance their business career, while the Executive MBA prepares seasoned professionals to serve at the executive level and lead transformational teams.

“In the UAH College of Business, we have around 1400 undergraduate and graduate students who throughout their studies are reaching beyond what has been done before to create, cultivate and disseminate knowledge, explore new markets, and improve the human condition as we establish new frontiers in business,” said Greene. “This is a tall task that certainly requires persistent effort and determination.” 

Greene said the programs are built for the “Huntsville community to support successful businesses and successful business practices and excellence in executive leadership.”

“In just a few years, these students will be the business leaders who will strive to expand our local economy, strengthen our community and contribute to the prosperity of our great state,” he said.  

Greene also highlighted the success of the College of Business.   

“Last year, the college received another five year extension of our accreditation from the prestigious AACSB International, marking our 30th consecutive year,” said Greene.

Fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide achieve AACSB Accreditation.
