HUNTSVILLE — This has been a season of seasons for the University of Alabama-Huntsville men’s basketball team.

The Chargers have not only 24 straight games after a season-opening loss, but they are ranked No. 3 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Rankings.

UAH is 24-1 overall and 19-0 in the Gulf South Conference – the most GSC wins in a season for the Chargers.

And they still have three conference games left.

Meanwhile, the Chargers have remained in the NABC Top 5 for six consecutive weeks and in the Top 25 for 14 straight weeks.

UAH ranks at the top of the GSC in field goal percentage (51.7%) and opponent field goal percentage (41.3%). Nationally, the Chargers are second in effective field goal percentage (59.8%).

The Chargers visit Auburn-Montgomery on Thursday and Montevallo on Saturday, before their regular season finale at West Alabama on Feb. 27.
