‘Where children will thrive’: Ardent Preschool & Daycare opens campus in Town Madison

MADISON — Ardent Preschool & Daycare opened its newest campus in Town Madison, marking the eighth location for the Alabama-based early childhood education provider.

Local leaders, developers, and community members gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday celebrating the addition of the 25,000-square-foot facility, which will serve families in one of the region’s fastest-growing areas.

Located at 799 Town Madison Boulevard near Toyota Field, the new campus is designed to meet the needs of families commuting from both Huntsville and Madison. The facility features 18 classrooms, four age-appropriate outdoor play areas, a covered play space, a splash pad, and an infant courtyard.

“We put our children in preschool when they were one year old, and just knowing you’re in a safe, loving environment makes all the difference,” said Michelle Epling, president of the Madison Chamber of Commerce. “Preparing our youngest learners for school is one of the best ways we can invest in the future of our community.”

Louis Breland, CEO of Breland Companies, the developer behind Town Madison, said Ardent’s opening meets a critical regional need.

“There’s a tremendous shortage of quality daycare,” Breland said. “When we spoke with leaders at Redstone Arsenal and the many companies moving into the area, one of the top priorities they emphasized was access to excellent childcare. Ardent helps fill that gap in a meaningful way.”

Town Madison, Breland said, was built with families in mind.

“We’re neighbors with Redstone Arsenal, the FBI campus and, soon, Space Command,” he said. “Town Madison is becoming a go-to destination for restaurants, hotels, homes, apartments and now, quality childcare. It’s a regional development that brings together every aspect of daily life.”

Madison Mayor Ranae Bartlett praised the school’s welcoming atmosphere.

“As a former school board member, I learned quickly that you can tell the culture and climate of a school from the moment you walk through the doors,” Farley said. “When I walked in here this morning, I felt it immediately — this is a place where children will thrive.”

The new campus continues Ardent’s mission of providing early education through its faith-based Abeka Curriculum, focused on character development and foundational academics.

Enrollment is now open, with spaces filling quickly. Families interested in learning more can visit www.ardentpreschool.com.
