WISPR Systems, InTerra partner to enhance surveying and mapping solutions

HUNTSVILLE – A collaboration between a Mississippi company and a Huntsville firm is targeted to bring accurate, seamless and a fully American-made solution to the surveying and mapping industry.

WISPR Systems, a provider of cutting-edge drone-based photogrammetry and LiDAR solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Huntsville-based InTerra, which specializes in SmarTarget systems for geospatial applications.

“By partnering with InTerra, we are taking an important step toward enhancing precision and efficiency in geospatial data collection,” John McArthur, WISPR Systems vice president of sales and marketing said in a news release. “Their SmarTarget system perfectly complements our photogrammetry and LiDAR offerings, allowing us to provide surveyors and mapping professionals with a more integrated and reliable solution.”

The partnership will focus on streamlining workflows for surveying and mapping professionals by integrating InTerra’s SmarTarget technology with WISPR’s advanced drone solutions, the companies said. This synergy will enhance data accuracy, geospatial consistency and ease of use across a variety of applications, from land surveying and infrastructure planning to environmental monitoring and construction site management.

With their flagship product, SmarTarget, and the introduction of Datum, a local base station, InTerra is setting a standard for precision, operational simplicity and seamless workflow integration, according to the news release.

“This collaboration is a natural fit for both of our companies,” said Larry Donelson, CEO and co-founder of InTerra. “WISPR Systems is at the forefront of drone-based geospatial solutions, and by combining our expertise, we are creating a more comprehensive and innovative solution for the industry.

“We’re excited about the many steps we’ll take together in the coming months to bring even greater value to our customers.”

The companies said the partnership underscores their commitment to advancing American-made products in the geospatial sector, ensuring that professionals in the surveying, construction and infrastructure industries have access to the most precise and efficient tools available.
