MADISON — The Alabama Farmers Federation has endorsed John Roberts for Senate District 2, the organization announced today. The district covers Madison and Limestone counties.

“John Roberts will do an exceptional job for the people and businesses of this district,” said Charles Butler, president of the Madison County Farmers Federation. “He has a strong work ethic, and we look forward to his service in the Senate.”

Limestone County farmers also expressed confidence in Roberts.

“John Roberts will be an outstanding public servant — one we can depend on to watch over farming issues in the Alabama Senate,” said Jerry Allen Newby, president of the Limestone County Farmers Federation. “He will be a strong voice for agriculture and business in Montgomery.”

Roberts received his bachelor’s degree and master’s of public administration from the University of Alabama. He is a real estate development manager for Freedom Real Estate & Capital in Huntsville.

He served as business retention and expansion director at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce and director of government affairs and workforce development with the Huntsville Madison County Builders Association.

“It is an honor to receive the endorsement of the Alabama Farmers Federation,” said Roberts. “I am excited about representing the farmers, their agricultural issues and all the constituents of District 2 in Madison and Limestone counties.”

Roberts and his wife, Madison, have two sons. They attend Asbury Church in Madison.
