Answering the call: Huntsville Fire & Rescue celebrates 57th cadet class

HUNTSVILLE – Huntsville Fire & Rescue will celebrate its latest class of cadets Friday with a graduation ceremony at Dream Theatre on the campus of The Rock Family.

The theater is at the site of the former Butler High School, 3401 Holmes Ave. The commencement exercises begin at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

This year’s graduates make up the 57th class from the HFR Cadet Academy.

“We’re proud of this outstanding group of cadets and take comfort in knowing they will help make Huntsville a safer place,” HFR Chief Howard Mac McFarlen said. “The training they have received is second to none and we commend our training staff for a job well done.”
