ATA Engineering increases Huntsville footprint with move to Research Park

SAN DIEGO — ATA Engineering is relocating its Southeastern regional operations to  Huntsville’s Cummings Research Park. The San Diego-based provider of innovative test- and analysis-driven engineering designs has had an office on Perimeter Parkway for several years.

The new building will expand ATA’s regional presence and continued companywide growth, increase the engineering workforce, and provide enhanced engineering services and support to southeastern regional customers, the company said.

The 10,040 square-foot location at 308 Voyager Way will accommodate office space and a lab facility. The move will enable ATA to hire additional engineering staff and provide enhanced engineering services to customers across the Southeast, the company said.

“The relocation of our Huntsville office reaffirms our commitment to analyzing and solving our regional customers’ most complex multidisciplinary engineering problems,” said ATA Vice President and General Manager Tom Deiters. “With our new SRO office, ATA will be able to hire new engineering talent to satisfy the significant growth in demand for our test- and analysis-driven design services within the thriving defense and aerospace sectors in the southeast.”

ATA Vice President and Technical Fellow Dr. Eric Blades, who has led ATA’s Huntsville operations since its founding in 2010, is a member of ATA’s board of directors. He is tranferring day-to-day operations to Robert Aungst, ATA’s senior project engineer.

By establishing a base in Huntsville more than a decade ago, ATA was preparing to meet the continued demand for engineering analysis and design services from regional customers, the company said.
