Athens-Limestone Chamber celebrates 2025 Small Business Award winners

ATHENS – Local entrepreneurs took center stage Wednesday night as the Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce honored 11 standout companies during its 2025 Small Business Awards ceremony at the Alabama Veterans Museum.

Selected from more than 50 contenders, the winners were recognized for their creativity, resilience and impact on the community. The annual awards were created to celebrate small business success and encourage business owners to inspire and support one another.

Presented by the Launchbox at Athens State University, the event was hosted by Chamber Board Vice Chair of Business Development Matthew Jimmerson and Athens City Councilwoman Dana Henry.

This year’s award winners are:

  • Emerging Business of the Year: CoraNation

  • Small Business of the Year (1–10 Employees): Athens Alehouse & Cellar

  • Small Business of the Year (11–50 Employees): Ridgeline Construction

  • Small Business of the Year (51–250 Employees): Pepsi Cola

  • Financial/Banking Service of the Year: First National Bank

  • Health/Medical Services of the Year: Athens Eye Clinic & Hometown Pediatrics

  • Hospitality/Restaurant of the Year: Irons & Ales

  • Manufacturer of the Year: TBAKI

  • Woman-Owned Business of the Year: Systems Automotive Interiors Alabama

  • Nonprofit of the Year: Hospice of Limestone County

  • DEIBA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, Accessibility) Business of the Year: Dottie Jewel

Chamber officials applauded all nominees for their contributions to the region’s growing business landscape. “These businesses embody the spirit of innovation and community that makes Athens and Limestone County thrive,” the Chamber said in a statement.
