Huntsville-based aerospace and defense company Aurex is expanding its leadership team with the appointment of Bob Jurenko as vice president of business development.
Jurenko brings decades of aerospace and defense experience to the role, most recently serving as director of Hypersonic & Strategic Defense Programs at Firefly Aerospace.
At Aurex, Jurenko will focus on expanding the company’s portfolio of opportunities, developing new customer relationships and helping shape initiatives around its growing defense and aerospace capabilities.

The appointment follows a busy period for Aurex, which recently showcased its expanding portfolio at the Space and Missile Defense Symposium in Huntsville. The company highlighted new hypersonic development and testing capabilities as well as expanded mission support during the annual defense industry gathering.
Jurenko said his experience across academia, government and industry will inform his approach to the new position.

Jurenko will be tasked with connecting those capabilities with prospective customers and industry partners while identifying new opportunities as Aurex continues to grow.
