HUNTSVILLE — Avion Solutions’ employee-led giving fund has awarded $15,000 to three non-profit organizations, including a Huntsville-area organization.

“Avion Takes Action” provided $5,000 grants to the Harvest-based North Alabama Foster Closet and $5,000 each to two Texas charities.

Avion Solutions is a 100% employee-owned engineering and logistics solutions provider headquartered in Huntsville. The awards are based on the communities where Avion Solutions employees live.

The grants will provide critical resources and life-enhancing opportunities for children in foster care, and intervention for abused, neglected, and displaced children and youth.

The North Alabama Foster Closet, which provides support and resources for foster families, will use the grant to purchase 10 bunk beds and 20 mattresses for foster families, allowing sibling groups to stay together.

“Avion Takes Action” accepts grant applications on a rolling basis throughout the year and awards funding quarterly.
