Huntsville-based Avion Solutions Inc. has been awarded an $87.2 million U.S. Army contract to provide engineering and program management services supporting military programs.
The $87,223,150 firm-fixed-price contract was awarded by the Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal. According to the Department of Defense, one bid was solicited and one bid was received.
The award is structured as an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, meaning individual task orders will determine specific work locations and funding as projects are assigned.
A firm-fixed-price contract establishes a set price for the work, placing responsibility on the contractor to manage costs while providing the agreed-upon services.
Avion Solutions is a 100% employee-owned defense contractor headquartered in Huntsville that specializes in systems engineering, digital engineering, aviation readiness and program management for the Department of Defense.
The company supports a wide range of Army aviation and missile programs and provides technical expertise across defense acquisition, systems integration and lifecycle sustainment efforts.
