Huntsville-based cybersecurity company Sentar has secured a new Defense Logistics Agency task order to strengthen the technology infrastructure supporting critical military logistics operations in Richmond, Virginia.
The award calls for engineering, installation, configuration and testing of operational technology networks that connect the facility’s mechanical, electrical, utility monitoring and physical security systems.
Sentar announced the contract Tuesday but did not disclose its dollar value, duration or whether the work will create additional jobs.
The award builds on Sentar’s work with DLA to modernize operational technology, which controls and monitors physical systems such as electrical equipment, utilities and security infrastructure.
The company said the improvements will strengthen connectivity and reliability across the facility’s critical systems.
“This award reflects Sentar’s continued commitment to supporting DLA and the critical infrastructure behind its mission,” said April Nadeau, senior vice president of DoD Programs at Sentar. “We’re proud to build on our relationship with DLA and apply our technical expertise to strengthening the reliability and connectivity of its operational technology infrastructure.”
Founded in 1990, Sentar is an employee-owned company headquartered in Huntsville, providing cybersecurity, intelligence, analytics and systems engineering services to national security customers.
Its clients include the Defense Health Agency, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and Missile Defense Agency.
The company also maintains offices in Charleston, South Carolina; San Diego, California; Columbia, Maryland; and San Antonio, Texas.
