Huntsville-based Sigmatech Inc. has been awarded a $249.2 million U.S. Army contract to develop and maintain digital capabilities designed to improve decision-making across the Army’s operations.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract covers the implementation, integration, sustainment and continued development of technology that will support a digitally enabled enterprise decision environment.
The work builds on capabilities developed through the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program and falls under Phase III, which focuses on transitioning technologies from research and development into practical applications.
The Army solicited one bid and received one response.
Work locations and funding will be determined as individual orders are issued, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 25, 2036.
U.S. Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is overseeing the contract.
Founded in 1986 by Dr. Gurmej S. Sandhu, Sigmatech provides systems engineering, technical assistance, program management and training solutions for military and federal customers.
Headquartered in Huntsville, the company supports the U.S. Army, U.S. Space Force and other defense organizations, with operations at more than 20 customer locations worldwide.
The award adds to Huntsville’s growing portfolio of major defense contracts and underscores the region’s continued role in developing technology for the nation’s military.
