HUNTSVILLE – Sweet sounds and sweet aromas will fill the South Huntsville air this month for the annual Bluegrass & BBQ Festival.

The South Huntsville Main Business Association and Madison County Commissioner Phil Riddick are hosting the shindig Oct. 14 from 2-8 p.m. at Southside Park on Chaney Thompson Road. They promise a day of foot-stomping bluegrass music, mouthwatering barbecue, food trucks, and family fun.

“We look forward to this every year and this year will be no different with an amazing lineup of great Bluegrass bands,” Riddick said. “There’s no better way to spend a fall Saturday afternoon with the family than to enjoy some great music at the park.”

Madison Roberts, executive director of the South Huntsville Main Business Association, said she is looking forward to the event – and there’s no charge for admission.

“Join the fun at Southside Park for a memorable celebration of music, food, and community spirit,” she said. “The first band takes the stage at 2 p.m. while the last band will begin at 6 p.m.”

Three on a String, Iron Horse, and the Grasstronaughts will perform.

“Grab your picnic blanket or chair and enjoy some great music in South Huntsville,” Roberts said.
