Huntsville engineering and technical services provider Canvas, Inc. has been awarded a five-year, $102 million contract to provide business and analytical (B&A) services to the Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) on Redstone Arsenal.

DEVCOM is a civilian organization that provides research, development, and engineering technology and services to the U.S. Army aviation and missile platforms. The AvMC utilizes that information to develop and improve aviation and missile components, systems and subsystems.

Canvas will provide a variety of support and management services to DEVCOM AvMC.

Canvas President, Larry Couvillon said Canvas’ focus is on the soldier.

“Experience with organizations of similar size and complexity as AvMC allow us to quickly meet mission needs,” he said. “Our qualified science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) contractor workforce fully complements the AvMC workforce, which is an engineering and technology organization comprised predominantly of STEM employees.

“We look forward to providing the full spectrum of contract requirements to meet the unfolding demands of DEVCOM AvMC in supporting the Army’s modernization priorities.”
