HUNTSVILLE – Recognized for investing in their employees and understanding their needs and wants, 15 local companies were named “Best Places to Work.”
The winners were announced today at the annual Best Places to Work Awards luncheon hosted by the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber in the Von Braun Center Saturn Ballroom.
The event also saw the debut of a category for companies that support health and wellness.

The winning companies were based on results from employee surveys, which are also used by the companies as a means to improve. Results are tabulated by Quantum Workplace and were kept confidential until the event.
“These are companies that are committed to retaining and recruiting the best of the best employees in Huntsville,” said Ashley Engles-Ross, the chamber’s vice president of Small Business. “By participating in the Best Places to Work program, they are investing in understanding what their employees want and need today, and assessing what their employees will want and need in the coming years.
“It’s very apropos for Huntsville — these are companies with an eye on how to do things right now and how to make things better in the future.”
Four companies are in the Best Places to Work Hall of Fame: Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation, Modern Technology Solutions Inc., PeopleTec, and newly added IronMountain Solutions.
