Cullman Police Chief Duncan endorses Mitchell for Alabama attorney general

CULLMAN — Cullman Police Chief Joey Duncan has endorsed Jay Mitchell for Alabama attorney general.

“I took one look at Jay’s record and understood why he’s the right person for the job,” Duncan said. “What law enforcement needs is an attorney general who will win for us in court, build for us in Montgomery, and stand with us in the line of fire. There’s no one better equipped to do that than Jay Mitchell.

“I’m thrilled to support him as our next attorney general.”

Last week, the Cullman City Council voted unanimously to renew Chief Duncan’s appointment.

“I am so proud to have Chief Duncan’s support. His leadership shows what strong policing can do for a community,” said Mitchell. “Cullman is growing, thriving, and safe — and that’s no coincidence. Chief Duncan and his team work tirelessly to equip their officers and maintain strong relationships with their community.

“As attorney general, I’ll replicate those priorities statewide. Every Alabama family deserves to feel as secure as the families in Cullman.”
