Defense contracts awarded to area companies Sept. 30-Oct. 4

The following is a recent list of North Alabama companies that have received or will perform work on Department of Defense contracts.

  • Simulation Technologies of Huntsville has been awarded a minimum $45,314,788 firm-fixed-price delivery order against a three-year, long-term, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for Iron Fist Protection System A-kits. This was a competitive acquisition with four responses received. This is a three-year contract with no option periods. The delivery order completion date is Feb. 28, 2026. Using customers are Army and federal civilian agencies. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2024 Ukraine payback funding. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Redstone Arsenal.
  • Torch Technologies of Huntsville is among eight companies sharing a maximum $33,164,000,000 ceiling, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple award contract for research and development under Pool 1 of the Information Analysis Center multiple award contract. This contract provides for the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center, part of the Defense Technical Information Center, to support research and development across the Department of Defense. Work will be performed in various locations, determined at the individual task order level, and is expected to be completed Sept. 29, 2027.
  • PeopleTec of Huntsville is among five companies awarded a maximum $33,164,000,000 ceiling, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple award contract for research and development under Pool 2 of the Information Analysis Center multiple award contract. This contract provides for the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center, part of the Defense Technical Information Center, to support research and development across the Department of Defense. Work will be performed in various locations, determined at the individual task order level, and is expected to be completed Sept. 29, 2027.
  • Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems was awarded a $52,729,384 fixed-price-award-fee, cost-plus-award-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee, and cost-plus-fixed-fee type modification to a previously-awarded contract (N00024-23-C-5117) to exercise option items supporting systems engineering and software integration for the Integrated Combat System across the Surface Force portfolio of the Navy and Coast Guard. Some of the work will be performed in Huntsville.
