Huntsville-based Tunista Logistics Solutions LLC is among 20 companies awarded spots on a ceiling $4 billion U.S. Air Force contract to provide base operations support services at installations across the country.

The contract, announced Monday by the Department of Defense, is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple-award contract supporting the Air Education and Training Command. The agreement runs through June 30, 2036.

Tunista Logistics Solutions, a subsidiary of Huntsville-based Yulista Holding LLC, was selected alongside companies from across the nation to compete for future task orders under the contract. Another Alabama company, Fortis Native Group LLC of Atmore, also received an award.

The contract covers a broad range of installation support services, including transient aircraft maintenance, communications and information technology, airfield management, logistics, transportation, emergency management, fire and emergency services, grounds maintenance, weather operations, custodial services and community support functions.

Work may be performed at several Air Force installations, including Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, as well as bases in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arizona and New Mexico.

According to the Defense Department, 22 proposals were received during the competitive acquisition process.

Tunista Logistics Solutions operates from Redstone Gateway near Redstone Arsenal and specializes in base operations support, logistics, airfield management, range operations and facility services for military and civilian government customers. The company is part of the Yulista Base Operations Support Group, which provides operational and infrastructure support services across the defense sector.

The initial contract award includes a total obligation of $47,500 in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funding at the time of award. Additional funding will be awarded through future task orders competed among the selected contractors.

The 338th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, serves as the contracting activity for the program.

The award positions Tunista to compete for work supporting Air Force training bases nationwide over the next decade, including missions tied to installation operations, logistics and readiness.
