MADISON – It was a double-play of restaurant openings for Huntsville-based Power Brands Hospitality Group.
The company opened Five Guys Burgers & Fries at 100 Moon Shot Drive at Town Madison. Power Brands also celebrated the opening of Super Chix, next door.
It is PBHG’s sixth location for Five Guys, but its first in Madison. However, the company is opening a Five Guys at Clift Farm in 2023.
“It’s always an exciting day for us when we hold a ribbon-cutting event,” said Madison Mayor Paul Finley. “Holding two of them in one day is twice as nice.
“We continue to appreciate those who invest in our city. You make a big difference for our citizens.”
Kumar Patel, managing partner of PBHG, said he was “super glad” about Five Guys being a part of the Town Madison family, but he is already looking ahead.
“This is the second of five projects we have currently working in the Town Madison area, and we look forward to moving ahead with number three,” said Patel.
Those projects include the new Super Chix opening right next door, as well; Taco Mama; and two original concepts opening this fall – the 1920s-style Prohibition and Lola’s, a Mexican restaurant that serves breakfast. The fifth is yet to be named.
Known for its hand-prepared burgers and hotdogs, Five Guys also offers fresh sandwiches, fries, and thick milkshakes.
There are five other Five Guys restaurants in North Alabama – three in Huntsville, one in Decatur and one in Florence. A Huntsville location on South Memorial Parkway, one in Athens and one in Meridianville are among future plans.
