Lennar Homes, a Florida homebuilder with over $32 billion in assets according to filings through November 2021, has purchased the homebuilding assets of Breland Companies doing business as Breland Homes for an undisclosed amount.
The sale will not affect the Breland Companies commercial building assets and Breland Home homeowners and homebuyers will not see any change except in signage, according to Breland Companies president Joey Ceci.
“Nothing but the name on the door changes,” said Ceci. “All Breland Home employees simply become Lennar Homes employees and they continue to work out of our offices.”
There are two divisions of Breland Homes. The South division includes homes in Madison, Limestone, and Cullman counties. The Coastal division includes Baldwin County and some developments in North Florida.
“This sale does not affect Town Madison, Clift Farms or any of our current commercial developments at all,” said Ceci.
Breland Homes closed on more than 800 homes in 2021.
Lennar has built over a million new family homes in 24 states across the United States since 1954. With a focus on the nation’s most popular cities, they build homes for first-time or move-up buyers, multigenerational family homes and active adult communities.
Lennar did not immediately respond to a request seeking comments on the purchase price or the purchase itself.
