Former Singing River Trail executive director indicted on child porn charges

HUNTSVILLE – The former executive director of the Singing River Trail was indicted this week on child pornography charges.

John Kvach faces one count of disseminating obscene material involving minors and five counts of possessing obscene matter. He is scheduled for court July 9.

He was arrested following a raid at his home in Brownsboro on the morning of June 24, 2024.

Kvach was booked into the Madison County Jail with a total bond amount of $100,000 before bonding out.

Until his arrest, Kvach led the Singing River Trail since its inception. It is a 200-plus mile greenway system that spans across North Alabama, creating economic and tourism opportunities.
