HUNTSVILLE — A shooting at a Huntsville sports bar left one man dead and three others wounded Saturday night.
On Sunday, a 23-year-old died as a result of the shooting incident, according to Madison County Coroner Dr. Tyler Berryhill.
HEMSI Community Relations Officer Don Webster said three other people were wounded. There are no reports on their conditions and no names were released.
According to reports, Huntsville Police Chief Kirk Giles said a fight broke out between two groups of people at the Twin Peaks restaurant and an off-duty HPD officer was involved.
Giles said two groups got into an argument just before 10 p.m., as the televised Alabama-LSU football game ended.
“During the altercation, some shots were exchanged“ Giles said. ”There was an officer working off-duty, and this was an officer-involved shooting as well.”
No other information was available. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating.
