Huntsville Parks & Recreation to host Spin & Skate Jam at The Orion

HUNTSVILLE — The Huntsville Parks & Recreation invites students ages 13-18 to let loose and end Spring Break on a roll with Spin & Skate Jam.

The free event is March 15 from 4-8 p.m. at The Orion Amphitheater. Registration deadline is Saturday. Click here to RSVP.

Coming at the end of Huntsville City Schools’ Spring Break week, the event will feature a DJ spinning the hottest tracks while teens enjoy roller skating in a fun, high-energy atmosphere.

“This event comes at a perfect time for teens to unwind and celebrate the end of Spring Break,” Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett said. “Most of our activities promote fun and fitness, and Spin & Skate Jam checks both of those boxes.”

Teens can bring their own skates or take advantage of on-site rentals on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited availability, teens are encouraged to arrive early if they need to rent skates.

Concessions will also be available for purchase. The Orion Amphitheater is a cashless venue, and only debit/credit cards can be used for purchases.

The event is open to all skill levels, and it’s the perfect way to get active and socialize before heading back to school.
