HUNTSVILLE – Huntsville Utilities’ new enterprise software system launched this morning, the agency announced.

The new system will enhance how the utility communicates and does business with its customers, officials said.

According to Huntsville Utilities, a key feature of the upgrade is a redesigned web portal and mobile app, which include:

  • Convenient payment options, including paperless billing and no transaction fees for debit or credit card use
  • Online outage reporting, along with real-time alerts and notifications (bill is available, late notice alert, payment extension requests)
  • An updated outage map
  • Usage monitoring tools to help track consumption

Temporary service impacts

  • Huntsville Utilities main office (112 Spragins Street), drive-thru payment center (1100 Pulaski Pike), customer contact center, and new self-service kiosks are closed or unavailable today while final post-launch software installations are performed.
  • Electric, water, and natural gas operations crews are in the field as usual. Huntsville Utilities will return to normal business hours with full availability Tuesday.
