HUNTSVILLE – Huntsville Utilities’ new enterprise software system launched this morning, the agency announced.

The new system will enhance how the utility communicates and does business with its customers, officials said.

  • Online outage reporting, along with real-time alerts and notifications (bill is available, late notice alert, payment extension requests)
  • An updated outage map
  • Usage monitoring tools to help track consumption

Temporary service impacts

  • Huntsville Utilities main office (112 Spragins Street), drive-thru payment center (1100 Pulaski Pike), customer contact center, and new self-service kiosks are closed or unavailable today while final post-launch software installations are performed.
  • Electric, water, and natural gas operations crews are in the field as usual. Huntsville Utilities will return to normal business hours with full availability Tuesday.
