deciBel Research, experts in radar system and sensor technologies located on Bob Heath Drive in Cumming Research Park announced yesterday the promotion of Dr. Geoff Pendleton to deciBel Research co-chief scientist and Eric Morgan to program manager over the company’s MASC-T contract.
Dr. Pendleton worked in the UAH Physics Department for over 12 years achieving the position of associate research professor and receiving the UAH outstanding researcher award.
His experience as an experimental scientist includes developing high-fidelity and physics simulations of detectors and their environment. He has served in a variety of technically focused roles at decibel related to customers in the Intelligence community, Missile Defense Agency, NASA, and the U.S. Army.
He will join Dr. Enrico Poggio as co-research chief scientists providing input to the technical focus areas of deciBel Research, assisting with delivering complex technical solutions to decibel customers, and working to better leverage the company’s technical knowledge.
Prior to joining deciBel, Eric Morgan served as the director of Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense at the Missile Defense Agency before retiring from the Air Force as a colonel. He has over 20 years of leadership and management experience with specific expertise in integrated air and missile defense, major weapons systems acquisition, systems engineering, operational logistics, foreign military sales and strategy development.
He has been serving as senior program integrator for deciBel’s Truth Models and Representations (MASC-T) contract for the past year and his expertise earned him the new program manager role for that contract.
“We are fortunate to have Eric join our team and continue the legacy of program excellence under the MASC-T contract,” said Jeff Gronberg, deciBel Research president and CEO. “And I look forward to continuing to work with Geoff to grow our capabilities and to meet the challenges our company and our nation face.”
