HUNTSVILLE –  Kratos Defense & Security Solutions renewed its lease in Cummings Research Park for 10 more years, confirming its long-term commitment to Huntsville. NAI Chase Commercial Real Estate negotiated the renewal on behalf of the defense contractor.

Headquartered at 4904 Research Drive in Cummings Research Park, Kratos plans to build an additional high-bay structure on the site to serve the company’s government customers.

“We were represented by Randy Thomas and Rick Davis (at NAI Chase),” said Charles Farmer, senior vice president for Kratos. “And simply put, the end result was favorable terms and a facility expansion plan supportive of our growth in the Huntsville market.”

Randy Thomas, executive vice president of Brokerage in the NAI Chase Birmingham office, said the lease renewal is confirmation of Kratos’ commitment to the Huntsville community and their local and national customers.

“Rick and I were honored to have been able to represent them, and this is the latest transaction among several we’ve done in North Alabama, demonstrating a steady demand for commercial space in the aerospace and defense sector,” said Thomas.

The property was represented locally by Kyle Collins of Collier’s International.
