Last chance to RSVP for tomorrow’s Women in Tech//HSV event at UAH’s I2C

The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Invention to Innovation Center (I2C) will launch a Women in Tech//HSV initiative tomorrow, March 23 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.

The Alabama-focused community platform is aimed at educating, encouraging and empowering women with the necessary expertise and connections to succeed in STEM career fields.

The Women in Tech mission is to support women who aim high and want to make an impact through technology, leadership and inspiration; and to help women transform their communities, fast forward their businesses and careers, and effectively move through challenges using the tools, connections and resources provided at the event.

The event will be moderated by the FBI’s Huntsville Transition & Change program manager Ambrosia Patterson and will consist of a panel of speakers including Kathleen Mills, deputy assistant director of the FBI IT Infrastructure Division; Stacy Stevens, assistant section chief in the FBI’s Cyber Division; and Nancy Brown, section chief in the agency’s Finance & Facilities Division.

Nicole Montgomery, cyber operations lead at Accenture is the keynote speaker.

The key topics for discussion are Breaking Down Barriers, Personally and Professionally; Owning Your Brand/Voice; and Increasing the Impact of Women in Technology.

The event is free and open to all women and offers plenty of networking opportunities and great food to boot!
