Nighttime resurfacing of Helton Drive in Florence to begin

FLORENCE — Overnight resurfacing of Helton Drive in Florence will begin Sunday, weather permitting.

The Alabama Department of Transportation said the $1,166,350 project includes milling and resurfacing more than a mile of Alabama Highway 157 from Huntsville Road to Hermitage Drive.

The contractor, Rogers Group, will work from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday nights/Monday mornings through Thursday nights/Friday mornings. Expect single-lane closures and possible delays.
