Openings point to growth for Ardmore, Limestone County

ARDMORE – Three businesses launched in the first month the year in Ardmore, perhaps signaling not only growth in that city but overall in Limestone County.

Pink Sage Boutique, Pizza on Main, and Bliss and Birch held ribbon-cutting ceremonies in January.

“The Greater Ardmore Chamber is excited about the opening of these three businesses,” Yolandia Eubanks, director at Ardmore Chamber of Commerce, told 256 Today soon following those celebrations. “Each is meeting a need in our community with men’s clothing, women’s clothing (XS-3XL), children’s clothing, and dine-in restaurant.

“These businesses are investing in our community and I believe because of their investment the Ardmore community will continue to grow and meet the needs of our residents.”

Bethany Shockney, president and CEO of the Limestone County Economic Development Association, said job opportunities are a highlight for expanding business in the area.

“Limestone County is experiencing exponential growth due to incredible job opportunities in healthcare, manufacturing, FBI, construction, education, etc. in our region,’’ she said. “Due to the heavy presence of government and defense companies, there is also a huge need for engineers, IT, and cyber security professionals.

“We anticipate the growth to continue, especially as our community is meeting the demand for very diverse housing options.”
