Past the Pitch events schedule kicks off on St. Patrick’s Day at ‘The Joe’

HUNTSVILLE – The Huntsville City Football Club will soon begin its second MLS NEXT Pro season, but while the Boys in Blue soccer matches are the main draw at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium other events are scheduled for the venue.

Called “Past the Pitch,’’ the lineup begins with Sunday’s “St. Paddy’s at the Pitch.”

Next month, Wicks Family Field will host “The Stadium Series” in partnership with the Church Street Family Restaurant & Hospitality Group. It is a beverage-themed series of events geared toward craft beverage enthusiasts. Attendees can enjoy the best selection of wine, beer, and spirits.

The Stadium Series:

  • Wine Cup, April 6
  • Beer Cup, June 1
  • Spirits Cup, Oct. 12 

Huntsville City FC season ticket members and Church Street Family Wine Club and Supper Club members will receive a $5 discount on tickets. Tickets for the Wine Cup can be purchased here, while tickets for the Beer and Spirits Cups will go on sale in early April.

Tennessee Valley Auto Fest:

  • Oct. 18, noon-8 p.m.
  • Oct. 19, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.  

Huntsville’s newest auto show features custom vehicles from all over the region, famous vehicles from movies, a concert, carnival games, and a special fireworks display. Tickets will be available at a later date.

Huntsville City FC Holiday 5K:

  • Dec. 22 at 4 p.m. Racers will get a special HCFC bib and a commemorative Holiday 5K scarf, while everyone can enjoy Holiday fun for the family and a visit from Santa Claus himself. Registration for the race will go on sale at a later date.
