Registration opens today for the 2026 Space and Missile Defense Symposium, a major international gathering focused on national security, space operations and missile defense.

The symposium is scheduled for Aug. 11–13 in Huntsville and is expected to draw thousands of military leaders, government officials and defense industry representatives from around the world.

Now in its 28th year, the event has become one of the premier global forums for discussions on space and missile defense strategy and technology.

Organizers say the symposium regularly brings together decision-makers, policy leaders, engineers and innovators to discuss emerging threats and future defense capabilities.

More than 9,000 attendees participated in last year’s event where Golden Dome took on a starring role.

The 2026 program will include updates from senior leaders across major defense organizations such as Missile Defense Agency, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command and United States Space Command.

Organizers say the event will also feature strategic panels on next-generation space and missile defense priorities, technical paper presentations and innovation briefings.

Additional highlights include a Small Business Showcase, networking events and an exhibit hall with more than 300 aerospace and defense exhibitors.

The symposium is held in Huntsville, home to Redstone Arsenal and Cummings Research Park, both key hubs for aerospace, defense and advanced technology development.

Organizers say the city’s concentration of military commands, federal agencies and private industry helps make Huntsville a natural host for the event. Registration is available here.
