Huntsville’s PeopleTec awarded $48 million Missile Defense Agency contract

Huntsville-based PeopleTec Inc. has been awarded a $48.1 million contract by the Missile Defense Agency to support advanced capability development.

The contract will enable MDA to acquire advanced model-based systems engineering capabilities, digital capability development, and integrated modeling.

The work is designed to unify architectural and requirements development processes into a comprehensive digital framework that supports the nation’s defense against ballistic, hypersonic, and other advanced threats.

Work will be performed in Huntsville, Alabama, and Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The ordering period is five years from the date of award.

The contract was issued under the Missile Defense Agency Advanced Capability Concepts Broad Agency Announcement, HQ0860-25-S-C001. The Advanced Capability Concepts solicitation provides industry with an ongoing opportunity to present innovative ideas, technological advancements, prototype demonstrations, and scientific breakthroughs aimed at strengthening all elements of the Missile Defense System. White papers are accepted throughout the five-year solicitation period.

An initial task order will be issued immediately with a 12-month period of performance. At the time of award, $450,000 in fiscal year 2026, research, development, test and evaluation funds were obligated. The contracting activity is MDA, Huntsville, Alabama (HQ0854-26-D-E004).

The company employs more than 700 people and provides engineering, emerging technologies, modeling and simulation, cyber, training, and mission operations services to Department of Defense and civilian federal customers.
