“Katherine Robertson is the obvious choice for attorney general,” Harnen said. “Her steady leadership of the AG’s Office for nearly a decade and her unapologetic support for law enforcement ensure me that she is ready to take on this role.

“I look forward to helping her win.”

Robertson said she was honored to receive Harnen’s endorsement.

“I’m honored to have Sheriff Harnen’s trust and confidence,” she said. “Together, we’ll stand tall against crime, defend our communities, and ensure Alabama remains a place where justice isn’t just a word — it’s a way of life.

“As attorney general, I’ll continue pressing the fight, ensuring anyone in Alabama who breaks our laws or threatens public safety meets the full weight of our state’s justice system.”

The Alabama statewide primary election is May 19, 2026.
