RUSSELLVILLE — Franklin County motorists could see some traffic delays on U.S. 43 south of Russellville.

ALDOT said crews will begin repairs today for another section of the deck of the southbound U.S. 43 bridge over Cedar Creek in Franklin County. ALDOT’s statewide bridge crew will assist area ALDOT personnel with the repair. ALDOT repaired a section of the bridge deck last week.

The outside southbound lane of the bridge will be closed around mid-morning today, ALDOT said. It expects to reopen the lane Thursday afternoon.

Motorists should reduce speed and prepare to merge when approaching the work zone.
