HUNTSVILLE – Lisa Sparks, former senior vice president of Synovus Bank in Huntsville, is one of seven senior level bankers hired by Florida-based SouthState Bank, to grow in Alabama and South Carolina.
Sparks has been hired as a premier private banker for the Huntsville office.
She brings 30 years of experience to SouthState as branch manager, retail sales leader, and multi-region retail management.
Sparks has been active in the Huntsville community through her service on several boards. She is also past president and vice president of Executive Women International.
“Our South Carolina and Alabama markets welcome seven skilled and knowledgeable bankers with experience in both commercial and private banking,” said Greg Lapointe, chief banking officer for SouthState Bank. “We know these bankers will provide exceptional service to our client base in those regions.”
The other six hires include Jarod Avant who joins SouthState’s Premier Private Client Group in Birmingham; Commercial Bankers Jon Chilton and Sean Dreybus of Greenville, S.C.; Chris Parish, commercial banker in Seneca, S.C.; Nikki Blanco, premier private banker in Rock Hill, S.C. and Brennan King, commercial portfolio manager in Charleston, S.C.
