The Market at MidCity returns for eighth season in new Huntsville location

A popular weekly gathering for local food and handmade goods is returning this spring as The Market at MidCity kicks off its eighth season in a new location within Huntsville’s growing MidCity District.

Organizers with the MidCity District Association and the Apollo Coalition announced the market will open Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. beginning March 15, continuing through Nov. 8, 2026.

This year the market will be held at 900 Mid City Drive, about two blocks south of The Camp and adjacent to Tupelo Honey.

Nearly 60 vendors are expected to participate each week, offering a wide variety of products including fresh produce, baked goods, plants and handmade items from local farmers, bakers and artisans.

Lindsay Pattillo Keane said the market is designed to bring the community together while supporting regional producers.

“Our goal is to create a space where the community can come together, support local producers, and enjoy a day out with family and friends,” Keane said.

Organizers say the market sources its vendors from within a 150-mile radius, ensuring the event focuses on products made and grown in the region. The weekly market also features live music, family-friendly activities and a lively atmosphere aimed at highlighting North Alabama’s small business community.

The event is presented in partnership with the Apollo Coalition, a nonprofit focused on supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Joanna White said the market also serves as a launching point for emerging local businesses.

“The Market at MidCity is the perfect example of how to support local self-starters,” White said. “Every Sunday, MidCity becomes the ideal place to shop local and build community.”

The market will also host a Holiday Market on Nov. 8, marking the final event of the season.

MidCity District, a $1.5 billion mixed-use development, continues to expand as a cultural and entertainment hub for the Tennessee Valley, featuring venues such as Orion Amphitheater along with retail, dining and residential development.
