HUNTSVILLE – Whether you’re an emerging artist, a restaurant with a great patio or a music-lover hosting a backyard concert, anyone can sign up to join the soundtrack of Make Music Day Huntsville.
The free, annual celebration, hosted June 21 by the Huntsville Music Office and the Huntsville Hospital Music Therapy Program, invites musicians of all ages, styles and skill levels to showcase their talents in public spaces across Huntsville.
“We’re thrilled to showcase our community’s musical passions along with so many other cities worldwide for Make Music Day,” said Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella. “This is our chance to turn up the volume and let everyone — musicians, businesses and neighbors— get in on the fun.”

All musicians, regardless of age, style or experience, are welcome. Create a profile with a photo, description and links to your music. Browse available venues and request a slot, or let venues reach out to you. You can perform one set or as many as you like. - How to participate as a venue
Have a porch, patio, café, office or public space? Signing up to host a performance is free and easy. Submit your location information and a brief description, then browse musician profiles or let performers request your space. Confirm the match, and you’re set for June 21. - How to attend an event

‘We are excited to be partnering with the City again this year to celebrate the joy that is music,” said Mae McLaughlin, music therapist at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children. “Here at Huntsville Hospital, we are commemorating the occasion with a whole week of making music all across our downtown campus.
“We are continually amazed by the musical talent in the Rocket City and can’t wait to jam out with everyone.”
