Northern Virginia’s Aeyon, a portfolio company of Enlightenment Capital and experts in developing comprehensive robotic process automation (RPA) and AI technologies to the Department of Defense and related civilian agencies, recently announced the acquisition of Huntsville’s Manufacturing Technical Solutions (MTS).

MTS provides engineering, science and manufacturing expertise primarily to NASA and the Department of Defense. As a NASA prime contractor, MTS has been recognized for engineering expertise in program planning, scheduling, and advisory support disciplines across NASA space centers nationwide.

Also part of the acquisition is Maryland-based Marick Group, a cloud-based human capital management and training provider.

Aeyon has more than 650 employees and is one of the largest middle-market providers of services and support to the federal market. Now, with a major presence in Huntsville, the company can provide a broader spectrum of technical solutions including cloud-based modernization, programmatic support, and major system implementations across the space, defense, and civilian markets.

“These two companies (MTS and Marick) bring complementary capabilities to Aeyon and bolster our position as a leading provider of innovative solutions that improve and accelerate the decision-making abilities of our customers,” said Aeyon CEO Sunny Singh. “I am thrilled to welcome the MTS and Marick teams to the Aeyon family. The combination of these businesses will provide for greater growth opportunities and maximize the options for our employees.”

Paul Curd, MTS founder, and Tammie Hayes, MTS president agreed that finding a company like Aeyon gives MTS more opportunity to meet their goals.

“The Aeyon partnership enables us to pursue our long-term growth strategy and explore market expansion through our combined capabilities,” said Curd. “Our commitment to our customers is unwavering, and we look forward to the superior service and outstanding results that our employees and customers have been accustomed to for the last 20 years.”

“The addition of MTS and Marick to the Aeyon platform broadens the company’s technical capabilities, adding engineering expertise and a suite of cloud-based products that allow them to better support their customers’ missions,” said Jason Rigoli, partner at Enlightenment Capital. “We look forward to continuing to support Aeyon’s growth strategy as it integrates these businesses and build upon their past successes.”
