HUNTSVILLE – After more than a week of electrifying performances and inspiring collaborations, Women in Music Week is preparing to take its final bow with several weekend events.
Presented by the Huntsville Music Office in partnership with Artemis Productions, the annual celebration of female artistry will culminate with a full lineup of free and ticketed events across the city.
“This year’s Women in Music Week has exceeded our expectations in every way,” said Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella. “And we can’t think of a better way to wrap it up than with a weekend full of high-energy shows that reflect Huntsville’s creative spirit.”
A weekend built to amplify women’s voices
- Tonight
Girl Jam at Stovehouse’s Leisure Lawn Stage promises an energetic showcase of local female talent, with performances by Luna Koi, Banned the Band, Wanda and DJ MeliGaga from 6-10 p.m.
The lineup continues with The Dawn Osborne Duo at St. Stephens Music Hall
Ashland Craft brings her Dive Bar Beauty Queen Tour to Rocket City Honky Tonk
Leela James graces the stage at the VBC’s Mars Music Hall. - Saturday
Melissa Etheridge and The Indigo Girls are at The Orion Amphitheater, and get ready for a night filled with iconic hits and beautiful harmonies. - Sunday
All eyes turn to CulturA Festival powered by female-owned Revel Events Agency, running from noon to 7 p.m. This family-friendly, multicultural celebration will feature the internationally-renowned EZ Band, Sensacion Vallenato and DJ Dame Luz, offering a vibrant blend of sounds and styles that reflect Huntsville’s growing diversity.
Jazz in the Park Huntsville will close out Women in Music Week on a soulful note at Big Spring Park West, with performances by headliner Pamela Williams, Gino Rosaria and Element XI from 5-9 p.m.
