Alabama A&M partners with Pathify to launch cutting-edge AI chatbot

HUNTSVILLE — Alabama A&M University is taking a leap forward in digital engagement by partnering with Pathify to implement a transformative AI-powered chatbot.

This cutting-edge virtual assistant is designed to provide students with highly personalized, secure, and immediate support while reducing administrative burdens.

Pathify, a leader in higher education technology, unveiled its advanced AI chatbot in October, and Alabama A&M quickly became one of the first institutions to adopt the innovative platform.

The chatbot integrates seamlessly with an institution’s tech stack, delivering authenticated,
ultra-personalized responses to student inquiries on topics such as financial aid, IT support, and residential life.

“Our AI Chatbot transforms how institutions deliver individual, accessible and accurate support without constant updates or training,” said Chase Williams, CEO and co-founder of Pathify. “By providing direct access to verified institutional resources, we empower schools to enhance student experiences while easing the burden on administrative staff.”

The chatbot employs advanced AI and natural language processing (NLP) technology to ensure students receive precise answers without the misinformation common in traditional chatbots. It also includes robust analytics tools, offering administrators valuable insights into student needs and usage patterns.

“Adopting the AI chatbot represents a natural next step in enhancing our student experience,” said Cloud Application Administrator Ryan Adkins. “Pathify’s Digital Engagement Hub transforms how we communicate and engage with our students, and the AI Chatbot will continue elevating our experience.

“It’s not just about faster responses, it’s about personalized, 24/7 support, helping our students succeed while allowing our team to focus on strategic priorities and saving money along the way.”

In October, Adkins joined Pathify for a nationwide webinar entitled “From Chaos to Cohesion: A Higher Ed IT Leader’s Guide to Consolidation & Cost Savings.”

Chief Information Officer Dr. Kylie Nash said the new technology empowers students to navigate their academic journey with confidence, anytime and anywhere.

“By implementing Pathify’s AI chatbot, we’re not only enhancing student satisfaction but also setting a new standard for operational efficiency,” Nash said. “This technology exemplifies how institutions can harness AI to improve outcomes for everyone on campus.”
