After months of anticipation, The Chop House has officially opened its doors in Town Madison, bringing the restaurant group’s first Alabama location to one of the region’s fastest-growing developments.
The restaurant celebrated a soft opening over the weekend ahead of its official grand opening Monday, June 8, at 4 p.m.
For General Manager Justin Meyer, the opening marks the culmination of months of preparation and a chance to introduce Madison diners to the restaurant’s signature blend of hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood and hospitality.
“It feels great,” Meyer said during the soft opening. “Everybody’s doing a wonderful job. We’re just three days in, but everybody is killing it and loving their jobs. The kitchen’s doing a great job cooking delicious food, and everybody’s happy to be here.”

Located in Town Madison near Toyota Field, The Chop House is part of the same restaurant group behind Connors Steak & Seafood, a longtime favorite at Bridge Street Town Centre.
Meyer said the early response from customers has exceeded expectations.
“Ten out of 10 reactions,” he said. “Everything’s been amazing. Everybody leaves here happy. It’s one of those things that we take a lot of pride in, and we’re doing exactly what we expected to do.”
The Madison restaurant features a traditional steakhouse atmosphere while offering several amenities designed to accommodate a variety of guests. Among them is a sunroom-style space known as the Hollow Room, which can host private parties, corporate gatherings and special events.
The restaurant also offers a range of menu options, including accommodations for guests with dietary restrictions.
When asked about his personal favorite item on the menu, Meyer didn’t hesitate.
“A ribeye with blue cheese butter and burgundy mushrooms on top with our creamed spinach and a chopped salad,” he said.
The opening fulfills plans first announced last year when company officials broke ground on the project, calling Madison an ideal fit for the growing regional brand.
At the groundbreaking, company leaders said they viewed Madison as a natural expansion market following the success of Connors Steak & Seafood in Huntsville.
Founded in 1992, The Chop House operates locations across the Southeast and is known for its hand-cut steaks, chops, seafood and classic American steakhouse fare served in a relaxed setting.
“Chop House is a great addition to the Town Madison community. The have a well earned reputation for high quality food and service and are sure to become one of Madison’s favorite restaurants,” said Joey Ceci, president of Breland Companies, the developer behind Town Madison.
The opening adds another high-profile dining destination to Town Madison, which continues to attract new restaurants, retail and entertainment options as the mixed-use development expands.
