Athens-Limestone County Christmas Parade heralds in the season

ATHENS — Santa Claus is coming to town!
The jolly old elf will be riding high Thursday when the Athens-Limestone County Christmas Parade steps off at 6 p.m.
Spectators are encouraged to arrive early and bring lawn chairs, blankets, etc. There are more 175 participants of floats, bands, and, of course, ol’ Saint Nick himself.
The parade will begin at Athens Middle School then head West on Hobbs Street, South on Jefferson Street, East on Market Street, South on Marion Street, West on Washington Street, South on Jefferson Street, and end at the Hometown Shopping Center.
